driveshaft problem:

Hey guys I'm new I just registered and I have a 94 mustang Gt and I was wondering if maybe someone went through this same dilemma. I go to a school that has fairly high speed bumps and when I go over them even really slowly I hear a grinding noise. I have access to a lift and I put it up yesterday only to find that my driveshaft has been grinding. However it was not grinding on the speed bump. Instead it was grinding on the Emergency brake bracket right above the driveshaft. I don't know what to do because I have to drive to school everyday. I was trying to think of a way to raise the car up a bit more than it is but adjustable shocks only go to stock ride height help me please!!!

Maybe the trans or engine is hitting something and shoveing the driveshaft into the brake handle.

What year Mustang do you have? There is a recall on the emergency brake at least for the 1998 not sure which others but Im sure you can find info online by doing a search.

they all do that eventually 94-98.. the recall i think is for something to do with the cable.. not too sure, but my bro just had his done...my rubs but only when u have it well loaded with at least 3 people, or alot of crap... the drive shaft rubs on the bottom portion of the e brake bracekt but doesn't really do any harm to teh cable it self..just let it rub a lil and then it will finally get to a point were it won't and you'll be fine, with no major damage to anything and everything still funtions as it should..sounds kinda cheap but it happens to alot of people..
