you should be able to do it in a day if you know what you're doing but it will suck.

I'm assuming your car has A/C, which does make it a big job. I replaced mine and the new one leaked from the very first moment. I can't figure out what caused it. I wish I would have pressure tested the new core before installing it. I've heard there can be some leftover caulking or adhesive "debris" where the core rests in the heater box which might warp the new core when you tighten down the whole affair. I would suggest you feel around in there before installing the new core to make sure nothing will warp or puncture the new one. It's also important to have the flow restrictor in the 3/4" (incoming) heater hose right at the core too. I managed to do the whole thing without breaking the A/C lines. Too bad I didn't manage to get it done right.

yeah i talked to my buddy back in va beach that has a 92 5.0 had to do his heater core said it took him bout 5-6 hrs and he put a 1/4 in 13mm socket in as a restristor so it doesnt build up too much pressure cause the factory inlet hoses off the block have some sort of cone restristor so ill try it if it doesnt work ill kickk his a$$ and make him do it next time
