I have a 1993 Mustang Gt 5.0 that I have just installed a new E303 camshaft in it. When I first start it up,the idle jumps back and forth(surges) until i use my foot to steady it out. After it idles for a while, it will run okay until i stop at a traffic light. it will have a tendency to surge (jumping back and forth until it chokes off. Unless, i put the car in neutral> Does anyone have any idea of what i can do to eliminate my problem without spending 500 bucks to take it to a shop.

Also, I have another problem.when the shifter is in park according to the gear shifter,the reverse lights are on. I checked the linkage on the left side of the transmission, and pushed it towards the front of the car, and this stops the problem until i come to a complete stop to park and I have to do that procedure all over again.

Will someone please help me? I am at a lost for words for these problems
