hey guys after much input from u all i decided to go with a 5.0 instead of a 302 carbed...anyway now my question is will a 5.0 bolt up to my 1997 3.8 tranny? and if so is the any yr restrictions thnx bb

 

The old 5.0 is a 302. 302 is the cubic inches of the motor. I know they share the same bolt pattern on many of the older trannys, however I can't recall if yours is the same. Regardless you are going to want to replace it. A donor car with all the parts would be a good way to do this.

 

appreciate the reply,but how do i find out what yr 302 or 5.0 will bolt up to that 1997 3.8 tranny? thnx
