Hell yea it will, if you make it. It's not any wider than a 4.6. Alot of work, but definately worth it. It would not be your every day run of the mill Mustang. Just goes to show that we are never satisfied...I'd love to find an older but decent fox body, tub it out, drop it to the ground, and overpower the shit out of it somehow. The 400 is a good engine too...I had it's smaller brother, 351C in a 73 mach 1, and it was the fastest car I have owned. I have always wondered why the 400 never really took off as a performance engine, as they were basically all smog motors, but it didn't take alot to wake them up. I believe it has the same bore as a 351 (4.00"), but 1/2" longer stroke, at 4.00".

I know, it would be alot of work, but I am still a little out of my element with modern day technology. The effort would be worth it to have an ass-kickin' engine you could readily and easily do anything you needed or wanted to do.

Indeed. Even a 460 (aka 7.5L) is narrower than a 2v 4.6 . That's what I plan on swapping into my Vic when I get it. And just for the hell of it, I'll be taking it to 521ci (almost 8.6L) :smokin:
