I'm pretty sure the axle length is wrong on the explorer isnt it. The posi will work in any 8.8" though.

the axels are too long. you will have to buy after market ones. ranger axels will work for a 5 lug conversion, but they are 28 spline as well.

Im near positive the driver is the short side. you can also use the sn95 stuff or aerostar. I would use the sn95 stuff there easier to find. I have also heard a that a 80's lincoln mark VII disc rear end will fit under with a little mod.

i don't think the posi would work because the explorer has a 31 spline axle and i have a 28 spline

no they wont. ford racing offers a cheap unit. I dont know how good it is. you can also buy the kit that has everything. ill look it up and see if the carrier will fit. I know the axels wont work.

i cant find anything. I would get the explorer one if it worked and just buy aftermarket axels. thats most likely how you are gonna make it work. Nothing that fits a mustang is 31 spline.

what all is done to the car? I was running high sevens in the 1.8th mile track out here, launching at 6k rpm and with MT Drags. And 4.10 gears, and never broke it. I went ahead and upped to a eaton and 31 spline axels. Was the best investment. just buy the explorer unit and buy aftermarket axels. You wont regret spending it.
