i just bought a stock 88gt 5speed. what should be the first step for more performance. it will be a weekend car. i have 2000 to spend

what do you want to do with it? drag race it?

if you want add cam, heads, intake, headers, and such. you will need to convert it to MAF instead of speed denstiy.

the best bang for the buck is a wet nitrous kit and a bunch of good suspension work.
