87 mustang 5.0 ho no start?

ok this is my buddys car and he just got it back after it sat for 3 years with no motor in it. ran ok until last night. what happened was he stoped in a parking lot to get food and when he backed into the parking spot it stalled. then would not start again so he checked and had no spark comming from the coil so he just went and replaced the coil. well by the time i got there he had the coil on and still no spark, he did say that when tighting the coil back on that he hit the starter relay and it sparked because he grounded it. well after that i showed up and he told me that now not only did it not have spark but the feul pump was not priming. so i checked al of the fuses all good, the fuel pump shut off switch was not poped. i decided that i was going to work on the spark first. i checked the distributor module it worked fine. at that piont im stumped so did he hurt some thing when he grounded the starter relay to cause no spark and fuel or is it that 2 problems just occued one after another? please help car is still in parking lot.

make sure that the coil isn't lose, I had the same problem with my 89 and the coil wasn't contacting all the way around and then I had to have everything done by a shop and that cost quite a bit

did that also affect the fuel pump?

The relay for that car is in the ccrm, when the fuel pump relay doesn't sense that the fuel pump is delivering fuel, it stops giving spark because the current is broken. Replace the fuel pump.

Constant control relay module. :nike:

Wait, now that I have thought about it, you should make sure that the fuel pump is getting power before replacing it. If it is, then replace the pump.

what is that and where can i find this on the car? this sounds like the problem.

well he had it towed to a shop because i didnt have time to look at it until today, its been there since monday and they say its done that it was a little electrical problem. im finding that hard to believe because if it was a little prob why did it take them an entire week to find it. so when he gets off work hes going to bring it to me and im going to try and find out what they have done. i hate working on someone elses f#*kup.
