scrap that 347, get a 331. The compression on 347's is all messed up and will continue to have problems. Even though a 347 is bigger you will be much happier with a 331.

i agree with the post above, go with a 331. and for the brand go with a forged eagle specialties. theyre the best. Scat is a good brand as well and a little cheaper or even go through DSS performance they can hook you up with a great kit.

ps dont forget a girdle

A stroker crank will not affect compression. I dont know where you got that idea. The 347 used to have a oil consumption issue due to the short skirt length and the rings having to be so close together, that has been cured in recent years. My father and I have ran a 700hp Vortech charged 347stroker in a 63 Fairlane for about 4years without a single downside.

How do you figure? I have built multiple 347 all of them are still running strong. They did have issues when the kits first came out. As of now they fixed there problems. There even making bigger stroker kits now then the 347's

yea i heard they fixed the problems they had with it, but i still run into more 347s with problems then any other stroker motor. IMO
