scrap that 347, get a 331. The compression on 347's is all messed up and will continue to have problems. Even though a 347 is bigger you will be much happier with a 331.

i agree with the post above, go with a 331. and for the brand go with a forged eagle specialties. theyre the best. Scat is a good brand as well and a little cheaper or even go through DSS performance they can hook you up with a great kit.

A stroker crank will not affect compression. I dont know where you got that idea. The 347 used to have a oil consumption issue due to the short skirt length and the rings having to be so close together, that has been cured in recent years. My father and I have ran a 700hp Vortech charged 347stroker in a 63 Fairlane for about 4years without a single downside.
