Default intake swap

i have a 89 5.0 mustang recently i had sum moron put in a 85 ho 5.0 he screwed up my whole fuel injection now i've decide d i'm just gonna put a new intake and a carb what is gonna be involved in this i also wanna take the computer out now am i gonna lose my tach and **** like that or whats gonna happen can sum 1 help please

You should contact Holley or Edelbrock, just to name a couple, there are companies that sell computers to handle what you are doing and make it very easy. There are also modules that connect between your computer and EEC module that will adjust and do everything that you need (which are alot cheaper then complete computers), ie tach, fuel, yada yada yada. There is a holley one at summitracing.com. Hope this helps.

if you are going to change it to carb...dont forget to change the distributor

you will have to do something about fuel delivery too , the factory intake pump will pump way too much gas for the carb ...

then you have to get a big muffler with a 4 inch tip that makes you go super fast. then a really big aluminum wing that gives you mega tractions, and remember...vinyl always adds horsepower
