Holley heads
 

I just landed me a set of Holley systemax heads with springs capable of .600 lift, 2.02 intake and 1.6 exhaust valves. I'm not sure if I need notched pistons with my Trick Flow cam with a .542 lift on the intake and .563 on the exhaust. Also, I need an opinion as to whether a Trick Flow Street Heat intake would provide enough air for a cam of that size or would I be better with a track heat. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks much.

i'm sure trick flow would be fine... but the ^above manifold set is better since it was designed by holly to go with their heads

you will need a set of pistons with valve reliefs. .512 is about the max with 1.5 rockers.

i prefer the holly systemax II info, i dont care for the TFS stuff honestly.

I've got a set of 1.6 roller rockers, and i dont know a whole lot about pistons so if you know where i could get a good set relieved pistons i'll be sure to look into it. thanks

I don't care what anyone says, no motor is like another. So having that been said, some engines would probably be ok with that cam, others not. The general rule though, is anything over .550 lift, and your going to need to notch your pistons. IMO, I think that cam is big for your setup. I would go with the TFS stage 1. The only guaranteed way to tell if your PTV clearance is ok, is to clay it.

Intake manifold also depends. What is the main purpose of the car? Street or track? That should tell you which to get. The track heat is going to make more torque, which is good for the track, and the street heat, is going to make more hp. If it was me, I'd take the torque anyday, as long as you can put it to the ground.
