Backfiring Issues Please Help

5.0- If im just in nutral and tap the gas kinda fast repeatedly my car will backfire. When i drive or if im racing and i shift fast and mash it back to the floor it'll backfire and it will do that throught gear. I was needen some advice on how to fix that because it makes the car sound like a pile of junk. Thanx

First we need to know where the backfire is comming from, the intake or the exhaust..
If it is firing out the intake then it is lean condition (not enough gas or too much air) and if it is firing out the exhaust it is running too rich.. Look for vacuum leaks...

It's backfiring through the exhaust

Ignition

Have you checked your plugs if it is not that check the resistane on the coil and if thats not it check your cap and roader, and if thats not it see if one of your plug wires got on the exhaust.

Rich and lean

If you were runnung lean you would have a white crust around your plugs if you were running rich you would have a very black oil deposit looking plug and your car would smoke. vacume leaks would not make your car back fire because vacume is low a full throttle if you had a vacume leak your car would have a very bad idle. I would almost bet that you have an ignition problem like I Posted earlyer.

You are running too rich, If you get backfire out of exhaust then that ussually means you have un-burnt fuel that ignites in the exhaust pipe. What you should is check your timing, fuel pressure and scan the PCM for codes. Let us know...

What do your wires, plugs, cap and rotor look like? My car had the same problem shortly after I bought it. It had very old crapped-up 8mm Ford racing wires, a generic no name aftermarket coil, and the absolute worst aluminum cap and rotor EVER. Oh and the spark plugs were gapped WAY to wide.

I pulled out everything and got an Accell Ford SuperCoil, Accell 300+ 8.8mm Race wires (Had to buy booties to protect the bigger wires from the BBK headers though), Accell High Performance Brass Cap and Rotor, and Accell Copper U-Groove Plugs (Gapped correctly).

Not only did it solve the problem, but my throttle response became incredible! And my engine bay looked pretty darn good after too!
