intake spacers?
 

im lookin for some info on intake spacers,i have 2 availible to me a 3/8 inch & a 1 inch.
i know they help slow or stop heat transfer from the intake to the plenum,but will threy affect my idle or drivabilty? any info would be greatly appreciated.
if it helps i have slight mods,with no internal motor mods(that i know of).
im a machanic,but this is my first efi mustang, so im lookin to figure this beast out as best as i can.

I dont think it will hurt idle quality i have a 3/8'' on mine but it came that way and its not stock try it and find out its only $50 dollors and just 6 bolt to install

I have the 1 inch spacer under a track heat intake with no prob, but you will have to have at least a 2 inch cowl hood or it will rubb

Do these spacers give more power or what exactly?

it gives you alot better throttle response and helps with torque down low in the rpm range
