i heard the some explores have the gt40 heads but i am wondering what other cars have the heads so that i can get them cheaper than if i get them off of a mustang

As far as I know, the '93 Cobra has the true GT40 Iron head that is a direct bolt in. They can usually be had for under $500 on ebay. The Explorers had GT40-P heads that require a different exhaust manifold than what the mustang usually had. They are cheaper initially, but once you factor in the extra $$$ for new headers, they end up being about the same. The other alternative is to have your stock heads ported and polished and have some good springs installed.
