Default egr problem

Scaping the egr will not affect performance an may hurt gas miliage It only recurculates exhaust gasses when at light and part throttle driving at wot ithe valve is closed so it dose not effect performance Id check to see if there is a vacume leak in the line to the egr valve

i have a 94 also, and i had alot of problems with the check engine light. this seems to be a problem with the 94's. i have had three of them, and know coutless guys with them, and every single one of them have the same problem. after hashing it out with numerous tech's, and experts, we have concluded that the easiest way to fix it is to take the cluster out, and remove the light bulb. trust me, you just might fight that thing for ever!

I'm beginning to come to the same conclusion.the code im getting is for egr position, the sensor is good and like one of the previous posts stated the egr only operates at partial or no throttle.well my light always pops on after a wide open throttle????? and its the same code everytime.so yeah i think removal of the bulb is in my future.it doesnt seem to be affecting my performance anyway. Thanks for the info.
