Yea i have an 88' GT and i was looking at the Flowmaster American Thunder 2.50" Cat Back Exhaust System. when it says "Exhaust system, "Is this just the muffler or is it a whole flowmaster exhaust?its like 250 bucks,
(CLICK FOR PART) , and I want to know if it is worth getting and if it will make it sound louder or what .....i need info on this kinda stuff and i need to know what kind of exhaust will make it sound louder and have more muscle within a decent price range.... |
Its a catback and its not Stainless Steel so it will rust after a few years.

Yes, it will rust. But, it can last for many years if not driven in the snow. Besides, you will probably get sick of it and want something else, or get rid of the car before is rusts. If you are on a budget and want to make some rumble, this could be a nice option for you.

I have the American Thunder Cat back on my car with BBK headers, an off-road H-Pipe, and no cats. I love it...my neighbors don't!

I'm looking to get the Flowmaster Force II exhaust system...here just in NC, around Charlotte, that shouldn't rust any faster than the stock system now should it? If not, I'll have no problems because my stock system is 15 years old and looking fine.
