Default Results of NX 4.6 Plate kit

OK I had the ZEX wet kit on my car, but it is impossible to run it progressive or make more than 125 (flywheel) hp with it. I have since sold the kit and bought the new NX 4.6 Plate kit.

I have a 2003 GT hardtop with a M/T. Mods include,Nitto DRs. 275/40/17, MAC cold air(fenderwell), Stock intake and T/B, Steeda U/D pullies, UPR offroad X pipe, Flowmaster 2 chamber cat back, Pro 5.0 Shifter, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Stock tune, NX wet shot 4.6 plate system.

The differences I have found between the two are:
1. NX uses all billet hardware. ZEX uses soft aluminum.
2. The NX bottle valve doesnt require as much turning to get it fully open.
3. The NX pressure guage is far superior to the ZEX one in quality and its liquid filled.
4. The NX solenoids are way easier to install than the ZEX "control box".
5. The NX solenoids are capable of flowing much more than the ZEX units.
6. The NX plate makes the intake sit up higher, which makes my engine look a tad bigger.
7. The NX plate is billet. I broke 2 of the soft aluminum ZEX nozzles.
8. The initial "Hit" with the ZEX system was rather hard and I feel rougher on the engine. The NX plate comes on very smooth with no hard jolt to the engine.
9. The ZEX system made good initial power but tapered off as the RPMs rose. The NX system pulled much harder all the way to the redline.(I finally felt the skin pulling back against my face).
10. Personally I think the NX kit is much better looking than the purple ZEX hardware.
11. The NX switches are lighted, the ZEX switches are not.
12. The engine just "feels" like its not running as hard with the NX kit and it makes a very noticable amount of more power.
13. With the plate installed I felt more power down low while driving N/A.
14. The ZEX kit only makes 100 hp to the wheels(if that). The NX kit makes AT LEAST 150 hp to the rear wheels.
15. The NX kit requires no change in timing. Even with the 150 shot but octane booster is reccomended. The ZEX kit recommends 4 degrees of timing retard with the 125(flywheel) shot.
16. The NX kit is fully upgradable with such things as more spray, progressive units, and NX carries a way bigger inventory of parts and fittings.

I hope this can help some of you that are looking to make a decision between which nitrous kit to buy. I know alot of you like the venom kit. I also thought about it, but I want to eventually build the motor and possibly use more spray. That is not really possible with the venom kit. If you buy all the safety parts to go with the NX kit, I believe you will have THE ultimate kit. Just save your money and buy NX you will be much more satisfied in the end. I had to learn the hard way and I wasted alot of money with the ZEX kit.

No HP numbers or track times yet, but I will go to the track this weekend. I was running 12.90s with the ZEX kit on a 100 shot. From the Seat of the pants feel, I believe 12.30s or 12.40s should be no problem on the NX 100 shot with a decent 60 ft. Another guy I know has the same setup, but with a shark nozzle. He puts down 385 hp at the wheels. I will expect at least that much with a 150 shot and a tune. Torque will be close to 500 ft pounds if not more.
Time for a new clutch......
