I just got some blue goopy stuff from an auto parts place. I told them what I was doing and that is what they suggested. Have not had any problems.

Be sure to let us know what you think. It will feel stick and a bit clunky at first for a while, but after a month or soo, it will be smooth as silk.

Make sure you don't set the stops too close. You need to be sure that the gear engage fully.

When I thought mine were set just right, I actually backed off on them a tad just to be sure.
