When you lower your car you alter the relationship of the steering rack and the steering knuckles. this can cause Bump Steer. Bump Steer is when the toe angle of one or both front wheels change as the tire rolls over a bump. this can give the car a "nervous or twitchy" feeling. The kit raises or lowers the outer tie rod in relation to the steering knuckle to reduce this. There is a good article in the November issue of Mustang Enthusiast that explains this better and shows how to make the adjustments.
