When I used to do long burnouts. ( I quit that after about 4 or 5 good ones). I would start in 2nd gear at about 2000 RPM and then once your foot is completely of the clutch, use your throttle to make a very nice long burnout. I can usually hold down the throttle for a good long stretch of black marks. (I'm gonna make a video one of these days). My stang likes to dance around a make those "S" shaped marks, so I have to be careful not to turn the wheel too much. My stock 04 GT will light em up mostly with just a touch of clutch and a lot of throttle.. no need to rev it to 5 grand.. I Love it.
