No, but if you buy a CDC shaker setup and want to use a Mach 1 hood, that is what you have to do.
easier just to cut a hold in the stock hood IMO
i really wanted to use a mach1 hood, it sticks up higher and looks better than the plastic piece in my view, so thats why i bought the karkraft setup.
As for performance, yeah i feel a little more getup and go on the highway, but that is really it. More than anything it just looks cool as shit.
