The only other alternative to cc plates is camber bolts. They are cheaper about $30 for a set from Napa. They give you adjustment of camber which is usually what is affected when lowering stangs. Look if you go 1.5 drop get cc plates or at very least camber bolts. I was told that my alingment was fine and then a year or so later tires where shot b/c of neg camber. That was with 1.5 drop. Just be safe and get cc plates it is worth the little extra money. As far as cost it really depends on what brands u go with and if you install spring and supporting mods. Then of course front end alingment will be have to be done ($80).
