I'd recommend MM coil over kit, 350#x12"x2.5" front springs, CC plates, tubular A-arms w/ poly bushings.

You'll need to chop a little tab of metal out of the stock k-member at the a-arm attach points so they'll clear. The noise you're getting is probably from the steering rack bushings. Get new ones made from poly-urethane (grease them well). I'd avoid aluminum rack bushings on the stock k-member.

The above is a good solid setup for a street car. It will not help drag times (probably make them worse) but it'll be a new car as far as street and corners. I'd also recommend a PHB for the rear. You'll find out after the CO install how wiggly the rear end is without it.

Arts Parts on corral.net has really good MM prices.
