Default coil over

I have some exessive noise in the front suspension. I want to just rebuild the entire thing with a coil over system in the front, but I have a question..

If I get coil over springs and struts, do I need a tubular k member and control arms? Or can I just get the coil over springs and struts, and bolt them into the stock k-member and control arm?

I know I have to buy special camber plates for them also..

Just looking for someone to shed some light...

Thank you!
