I will only make two quick comments:
1 - Don't mess with the sauce until you are 100% comfortable with what you are doing.
2 - Kits don't make power. Adding nitrous and fuel does. No kit make more power then another. There is no magical relationship that makes a Zex, Venom, or NX make more power then then the other.....power only gets made based on how much nitrous and fuel you add. Some kits are rated differently then others since there is no set law that defines what a 100 shot or a 75 shot is really supposed to be. So, if an NX makes more actual proven dyno power then a Venom, it is because more fuel and nitrous was added....not because of the name of the kit.
3 - If you don't have plans for other mods to your car and your car stock, in theory, then I think the Venom kit is fine. The kit is defintely more complex, but it is very cheap. You used to be able to buy complete kits for $525. If your car is not stock, then I would avoid this kit. A wet kit like an NX is a lot more adaptable and can grow with anything that you do to your car assuming it is tuned correctly. You can't tune a Venom kit......this reason alone is enough for a lot of people to avoid them. Keep in mind that a proper NX EFI kit with all the bells and whistles can get over $2,000 (kit, purge systems, guages, bottle warmers, chips, dyno tune....all this stuff adds up).
BTW, American Muscle no longers sell Venom kits any longer.....I don't know why as this forum is no longer affliated with the business. As such, I am going to take down the thread about the kit. There have been users with problems, so that might be the issue, but there have been blown motors with ALL nitrous kits.
