definitely a good idea. I usually have someone lay down and push with their feet against the axle to push it toward the front of the car so I can get that last control arm bolt through. Another tip, once you have the rear springs in the pockets, connect up the shock and it'll hold it up high enough that it won't fall out (normally). You shouldn't have to remove the RUCA's either but if you leave them on you may have to step on the ends of the axle to get the spring out.

Remember, a floor jack is your friend. Scissor jacks are suicide.
