push the tool in so the spring in the collar pushes over the edge, twist the fuel line a little back and forth to break the seal and it should pull out about like a cork.

there's 2 little o-rings on the pump side that fit into the socketed end on the rail side. They get drier than a nuns cunt sometimes and it takes a little wigglin' to get em' loose.
