IMO a healthy LSU is #1 or #2. but how come you point at LSU's 2 losses and Oklahoma has 2 losses to unranked teams. it shouldn't be about how these teams "looked" it should come down to stats. wins/losses.... who they beat and who they lost to...... did they win their conference.
Yeah well Nebraska was also ranked #15 when USC beat them. What you are ranked early means jack squat.

Everything is taken into consideration and LSU lost to two unranked teams just like Oklahoma. Virginia Tech and Ohio State are the only two teams whose only losses are to top 15 teams. Both teams USC lost to are not ranked either, but they did lose to then #5 Oregon who without question would be a BCS team if Dixon didnt go down.

The rankings should not be based on speculation that maybe LSU will be a #1 or #2 in a month. They are supposed to be based on who is playing the best right now. You readily admit LSU is not playing the best and yet they get bumped up because of the BS belief people have that the SEC is somehow this mystical conference where each team should be ranked #1 - #12 every year. Its a freakin joke.

If Oklahoma and USC played LSU right now today imo LSU would lose both games.
