Id bet money all the major contenders coaches voted their team 1 or 2 to get a shot at it.
We need an 8 team playoff, 6 BCS conference winners and 2 at large bids. Each conference winner should be in the #1-#6 slots and the other two should be seeded accordingly and a non-bcs team should get the #8 spot if they are unbeaten like Boise last year or Hawaii this year.
This year would have been
#1 Ohio State vs #8 Hawaii
#4 Oklahoma vs #5 USC
#3 Virginia Tech vs #6 West Virginia
#2 LSU vs #7 Georgia

wow that's the first logical thing i've heard you say, and i actually agree for the most part..except maybe throw 2 or 4 more teams in the mix to make it really interesting.
