The problem is that if the BCS starts rewarding schools that don't play anyone worth a damn your going to have teams like USC and LSU who start playing BS teams just so they can have a 12-0 season. That's not good for college football. I totally hear you that it's not the kansas players fault their schedule sucked, but it takes time man....just be patient.
And VT will beat the piss out of Kansas....sorry to say, but they are good football team that is used to playing in big games

that's why I think the NCAA should take away a schools power to schedule non-conference games. THE NCAA Should choose each teams schedules, just as the NFL does.
and that way they can't start having teams schedule the worst non-con teams.
and i think Div 1 teams don't need to be playing Div 2 teams. that way you don't have theses little teams get stomped all the time.
NCAA would also do well to break these teams up from their current conferences, and re-align the entire thing a little more fairly, and in effect do away with the Conference Championship games, and keep every team to a 12 game schedule. Or better yet, just do away with the conference's all together.
Then the top 16 teams, get a playoff, the rest go home.
i think it would ad so much more parity to College Football, and create a level playing field for every team...right now the playing field isn't level, because a Boise State can't win it and they were undefeated a few years ago, a Hawaii can't get in it they're undefeated this year.
this year is an exception, because no one could consistently win and stay @ #1, but if you look at years past, one school can dominate for years on end.
