If Kansas wanted respect all they had to do was beat Missouri, you didnt. Hell that game wasnt even as close as the 8 points would lead you to believe. Missouri dominated that game for 3 quarters and then let you back in late.
As far as Illinois, I agree they are not a BCS team. However the Rose Bowl went for Tradition. But who would you rather have seen in the Rose Bowl. Georgia since SEC was in the Sugar, Oklahoma was in the Fiesta, Va Tech was in the Orange.
Couldnt be another SEC team, couldnt be another Big 12 team, there are no other good Big East teams.
So basically it was either tradition with Illinois or Pac 10 vs Pac 10 with the Rose bowl picking Arizona State.
There is no question Florida or Missouri deserved it more than Ill but really imo there is not much difference between ILL and ASU.

i think the whole Big Ten and Pac 10 get a certain Bowl Game is crap.
if they're not gonna get a playoff system going, Here's the Way it should be so you get the best games
#1 - #2 play for NC Championship
#3 - #4 play Rose Bowl
#5 - # 6 play FedEx Orange Bowl
#7 - #8 Play Fiesta Bowl
#9 - #10 play Sugar Bowl
then for all the other teams...they should do it like the POWERBALL, and just have a drawing to see who plays who.
