Ok so I'm a little confused

My best run (which sucked) was a 2.20 60 foot and 14.066 in the 1/4 mile at 98.60 miles per hour

Now here is why I am confused. A few months ago when I ran the car launching at 2.2k it spun a little, hooked up and I was on my way. Perfect and resulted with a 2.22 60 foot and 13.95.

This time, 2.2k BOG.. badly.... ok so 2.5k BOG badly again!!.... so 3 thousand RPM I STILL BOG!! So finally last past of the night, 3700, slip the clutch and got that nice spin a little and hook up and got a 2.20 60 foot and ran the 14.066

Why is it, I had to launch at almost 4k to achieve the same results I got with launching it at 2.2k rpm last track visit?
