As I am helping moderate this forum now, I would like to note that I agree with Venom's statement about everyone not having the same skill level. Wether you are a certfied mechanic on a Pro5.0 car, or you barely know how to change your oil, when you do a write up here, pretend you are talking to a 16 year old that knows nothing of cars. Make it understandable for anyone reading.

I'd like to have a general format to these posts too. Make the title start with "How to:" and then put whatever writeup title you have. This will make searching the forums easier for new users. If you post a writeup without it, I'll simply add it into the title and leave your original post untouched.

Try to keep the format similar to this:

What the mod does
Skill level/ tools/ parts required and costs
How to do the Mod
Your personal Impressions

In my experience, doing this alleviates alot of questions with someone reading a how to article.

I will also refrain from locking posts in this forum as long as the original writeup is useful. This lets others ask questions about certain procedures they are still unclear about. If a reply is posted that does not follow mustangtuning.com's general guidlines, only that particular reply will be deleted or edited, to help keep the rest of the thread useful to people.

BTW...as a suggestion, if you know VbCode, I suggest working on your writeups in word or notepad. This lets you save a draft if you can't finish it all at once...that way we're not stuck with incomplete writeups.

This is a very valuable section to have guys, let's keep it active. Please...if you don't see a writeup here, and have questions about something, post in the proper tech section.

Thanks
