ya youll be able to get in with a long small object. At work we have a blow up bag with a long metal rod coated in rubber for getting into vehicles that have the keys locked in. I dont know how many times ive used that thing...

Since we have no door frame the window has a lot of "play" to get in. Twist togeather 2 long coathangers and you should have no problem, and mabye a door stop to hold the window open.

Call a locksmith as you dont want to mess up your door. If you have AAA or know someone that has it this service is part of your membership. Does your back seats fold down?

some lock smiths have a remote scanning device to scan for your alarm code and unlock your doors.

exactly.

as long as the car doors are open or the windows down so you can get into the car, use the button inside the glove box.

if they're not, call AAA if you have it, otherwise you're probably going to have to call a locksmith to pop the door for you.

We dont even know if he locked his keys in his car or if they are just in the trunk. lol.

Your back seat folds down, and you have a trunk pop buttin in your glove box.
problem solved.

I stand corrected...I figured he knew the seats folded down or he at least knew about the release in the glove...also all of the posts are suggesting ways to get into the car...not just the trunk... :icon_scra

find other people with new edge mustangs and keep trying keys.

there are only 10 key configurations made so you have a 1 in 10 shot of any key opening your car. Now it won't start it cuz of the chip in the key.

There is a lesson to be learned here.

1. The trunk is not a good place to lay your keys.
2. Unlock trunk, put keys in pocket, resume trunk business.
3. If you do accidently do lock your keys in your trunk. Then:
a. cuss outloud about how you just locked for #$% keys in the trunk.
b. look to see did you also lock the doors. ( if so then cuss loudly again).
c. don't tell anyone what you just did. remain calm and act like it's cool.

4. Last but not least. (I think this was fore mentioned). Simply go get your SPARE key that your dealer strategically gave you when you bought your new car. That spare key should do the trick. :laughing8

And I figured that most people would put together that my keys are in my trunk and my car is locked

ofcourse I would just use the damn trunk button in the glove box if i could

Default How to access trunk without key or remote in 2007 Mustang

The EASY way is to locate the trunk release relay under the hood. It is right in the fuse box, and very accessible. Pull the relay and short pins 87 and 30 with a paper clip. It is actually called the "Luggage Compartment Relay".

try this link for a pdf of the relay location.

http://tomsalmonusefulinformation.bl...thout-key.html

Probably works for 2005 thru 2009. Similar method may work for 2010 and later.

This assumes the passenger compartment is unlocked so you can open the hood. If not, you'll have to figure out how to get the hood open or gently break into the passenger compartment

This method worked for my 05 gt...

This is not to be used for illegal purposes. It is fairly easy to get into your trunk or in the car. First you have to lay on the ground at the front of the car. Then reach up and push the hood release. (Find the release cable and where it attaches push it towards the drivers side and pop it open.) Then remove the power distribution box cover (relay and fuse box on the left front under the hood) and find number 34 on the 2005. remove that relay. I used a paperclip for a jumper and simply inserted the ends into the front two connection holes where the relay fits. There are 4 connection holes for the relay. Wiggle the paperclip and that pops the trunk. If you need to get inside the car, clear your trunk and just squeeze your hand beside the seat and pull the seat release loop. It is a tight squeeze but it can be done. Try putting a stick or rod between the seat and edge of trunk so you can give yourself room to grab the release loop. Simply pull the loop and push down the seats.
