That would be me. Street racing is stupid. Statistically, you have a 4.9% chance of being in a fatal wreck every time you engage in an illegal race. Thats not because I'm saying you or the other person is a bad driver, but its because there are millions of people on the road going to work, grocery shopping, running errands, making deliveries and what not and they aren't looking or expecting 2 cars to be barrelling down the road at 100+ miles per hour. A car traveling at 60 miles per hour takes less than 3 secs to travel the length of a football field, thats less than 2 secs at 100 miles per hour. What do you think is going to happen when someone on a cell phone pulls out in front of you because you were 2-300 yards down the road and they weren't paying enough attention to judge your speed. I've spent years in ERs and ICUs putting back together young ppl that thought street racing "isn't a serious crime," and I've bagged and tagged enough of them to know thats horseshit. You may be young and invinceble now, but hit a car and kill someone and you'll become old and haunted real fast. Be smart, go to a track and race there, at least your only endangering yourself and the one there to race you.
