Spike I would not run any power adder without a dyno tune. First I don't play around at the track, I abuse the hell out of my car. I would want to be sure my a/f was good all the way through my rpm's. I know people who don't have dyno tunes who are running without any breakage, I also know one's who have blown the motor because the did not get a tune. That being said I know guy's with tunes who still have blown up, it's up to you but I agree with Matt. If I'm going to layout 4-5k on a good blower kit I'm going to spend the 500 to get it tuned.
Sounds like that truck of your's was pretty mean.
