If you say that a V-6 should never be modified because you should just get a GT, then you could say the same for a GT. Why waist money modding a GT when you could just get a Cobra.
In reality, your opinion is valid....to a point. In any case, from a financial point of view, modding a car is nearly ALWAYS a bad idea no matter which one you own.
Saying that a 6'er is for chicks....well, most Mustangs built come with a six. And, what are you gonna say next near when the 6'ers are making 260 hp right out of the box....faster then your current GT.
