ya know, when i was a kid adults werent allowed to beat us up, but they never told us kids, so there was always that fear of gettin smacked.
Now-a-days kids all know that the adults cannot do anything to them, so the concept of reprimand is not heavily installed as they have nothing to fear pain wise.
personally, i dont think there is anything wrong with smacking a kid upside the head if he mouths off, as long as you dont go much further.
if you break it down, pain is a learning mechanism.
You mess with fire and get burned and it hurts and yer dumbass remembers it.
Well, if that bus driver was allowed to legally smack that kid, i bet that situation wouldnt have happened in the first place cause that kid would have probably gotten punked for a similar stunt in the past and would have learned to behave, and all would have been right in the universe.
Does the occasional smack result in behaviorial problems later in life? I dont buy that. My parents were raised in the time that if you mouthed off you got switched. That entire generation seems pretty stable and level headed to me.
personally, i think we are doing the children an injustice by not smacking them when they get out of line, because it takes them a lot longer to understand the concept of cause and effect and how to behave.
ok you damn hippies, take yer best patchulie smokin shot!
all this political correct crap really grates my nerves sometimes.
Hell, did you hear about the advocacy group that is attacking burger king because thier kids meals come loaded with star wars stuff? They say it is unappropriate cause the movie is rated PG-13. Give me a break. Somone give these people something important to do. I cant believe somone actually gets paid for that crap.
Hi! I'm J.R. Douchebag, and I spend my time fighting stupid battles, wasting tax payer money, and imposing my point of view on people to protect the land of the free as long as you share my same belief.
go crawl under a rock and die.
