A great man who started a circus one said "There is a sucker born every minute".

Not that it matters, but I seriously doubt that someone paid $17 for your car.

The only people that offer what someone is asking for a car are people that usually never come up with the money. But hey, if you got that much money for your car, you can come to work for me and skip college. I'll start you at $60k plus all bennefits and give you a company car to boot.

My friend Michelle (she is my dog groomer) just bought a 2003 GT Vert with 6,000 miles on it for $21k from my friend Tony. I brokered the entire deal and I still think she paid about $1k too much, but the odds of finding another one with miles that low is pretty hard. I placed an offer for her on another 2000 GT Vert with 24k on it for $10,800. The car was absolutely mint. Seller wanted $12,900. We were closing in on $12,000 when she bought the 2003.

The seller called me yesterday after two other deals had fallen through from kids and was asking if we would still pay $12k for the car. I told him that we had bought another, but that I was interested in it and offered him my original $10,500 minus $500 for all my work and time. He got really pissed, but I said, "I will run a check down right now" this was after telling 5-6 times that he was asking too much over the previous 6-7 weeks.

I bet I hear back from him in 2-3 weeks. When he does, I will drop my number again.
