Goal on street tires should be 2.0's...course some guys can get 1.9's and even a few 1.8's, but 2.0 should be your goal. Get a 2.0 and your good to go. That will carve 0.6 ++ from your quarter mile time.

You need to relax...let me share a story with you:

There are two bulls sitting up on a hill over looking a valley filled with a dozen or so cows. One bull is old and his name is Dean (aka Blue02GT). Another bull is a young stud who has yet to break in a cow and his name is Danny.

The young bull (Danny) with a grin from ear to ear says "hey old man, what do you say I go charging down that hill and screw all them cows?"

The old bull (and shorter one) says: "You go right ahead young stud, I am gonna cruise down the hill and nail each of them cows one at a time."

Well, the young stud after charging down that hill was soo tired he croaked while making his way with the second cow....while Dean enjoyed each one and then had the whole lot to himself.

Slow and steady wins the race (and get's the cows).

Don't try to win the race in the first 60 feet...ease off that clutch and if you begin to loose traction push in on it until the tire grip again.

If you don't feel like yanking everything out of the car, at least remove the headlight. I am actually hesitant to tell you to empty the trunk as the added weight may be to your advantage until you can learn to hook-up better.
