Nice car and it is obvious that you love it. Unfortunately, I think the car is worth about $10k tops. Around here, 2000GT Verts with lower miles are going for $12k and I have seen low mile 2004's for $18k. Not to mention, 2003/4 Mach I's for not much more than that.
Listen to 20 years of car buying and selling experience: condition does not matter much...it's all about loan and auction value. If you were to trade your car in on a 2005, you would get about $8k for it. My advice, is keep it. Better to not loose any money than to take a beating.
After-market parts actually lower the value of the car in some cases unless you find the right buyer which never happens.
