a line lock or roll control is an electric solinoid that that plumbs into either the front or rear brakes when the solinoid is not engaged the valve is open allowing your breaking system to work as normal But if you press on the breaks and then hit the button to activate the line lock this closes the solinoid keeping the hydrolic preasure on in the system from the solinoid to the caliper or wheel cylinder, and then you can release the break pedal alowing the rest of the braking system to go back to 0 hydrolic preasure while maintaining preasure in the lines that the solinoid is plumbed into. when you want to releas the breaks just let you finger of the button and the solinoid will open this also alows for better burnouts cuase your not fighting the breaks. Its also good at a dragstrip with a sloped starting line so you can keep the car still and bring up the rpms
