No I stand by my thought, I see no sence in taking the chance. Some breeds are more prone to causing harm than others. You cannot dispute that, well I guess you can but the fact of the matter is some breeds have been bread to be fighters etc. Just the same as some animals where bread for hunting.

I have a beagle, which where bread to retrieve birds. She has never been hunting, has never been taught to chase, but she does it without thinking when other dogs in the same yard just dont.

It is no different that certain types of sharks, fish, or whatever else are more aggressive. I am by no means saying that only those types of dogs bite people but they are more prone to do so. I just dont see the point in taking a chance. Maybe it has to do with my neighbors daughter got her whole cheek ripped off by a pit, that whenver I saw it was as gentle as can be. I just dont see a lab doing that.

Also there must be a reason that humane shelters dont adopt out pits or rots when they come in.
