These are always difficult posts to respond to. On the one hand, I think we should just answer questions like this technically, but on the other hand, you have to consider who is asking.
I pretty much agree with all the previous posts. I would just add that you should try to learn as much as you can about the car. First, it's fun. Second, you will be able to make educated decisions down the road.
Mods are expensive PLUS you never get your money out that you put in, but learning is cheap.
