Buying these things used from an unknown source is a BAD idea. Many of these units are not supported if upgrades are available. While $399 may seem steep, keep in mind you get customer support with that too plus a guarentee that the tune will be correct for your vehicle.
If you need to save some money and you want used, be sure to have faith in who you are buyinbg from. Buying from a member here is one thing, but from ebay is a whole different story especially if it is used.
What risk your motor to save a $100? Or just the headaches and added expense of getting the tune right?
