OK, yep, now I'm with ya. I used a universal to get the angle right so the socket goes on straight. I didn't have any problem. Maybe it's not rounded off so much that you can still get a socket on there straight. If it is truly "F'd" up, then I would try a "bolt out". It is a neat little socket looking thing that has teeth inside of it that bites into a rounded off nut as you turn it counter clockwise. You can get them at Sears. Good luck!
