Holy Crap!
I was on the way home today from work and I was carrying my mountain bike in the backseat of the car with me. I pulled up to a red light next to what looked like an ordinary Trailblazer. It was brand new and it looked pretty nice. It was silver but I really didnt pay that much attention to it at first......
So im sitting there and this guy the the blazer starts holding his revs like hes at teh dragstrip or something!?!? I was like WTF is this guy doing? Does he seriously want to race me in this big ass trailblazer?!?! The light turned green and I just took off like normal.......not racing. I didnt know what the guy was doing so I didnt even try to race him. Funny thing is that he was racing! He launched the SUV nicely and it looked pretty quick!
There was traffic so I didnt try to race him right away. I pulled in front of him and gave it a little rev as I passed by. Next thing I know the guy whips around the traffic and flies past me revving his motor......
He took a right turn at the next intersection and I was going the same way. I pulled up next to it and took a look at it. It was a nice SUV.....It had SS on both sides of it and on the back. It was on stock 20 inch wheels. It had a single exhaust and it was VERY quiet.
So we pull up to the light and both of us know whats going on. I didnt have any spray today but I wasnt even about to spray a frickin Trailblazer! LOL! The light turned green and were off! I got a halfway decent launch off the line but he did too! I spun through the top of first gear and that damn SUV pulled a little on me! The trailblazer was an automatic and it was shifting smooth as butter. I snapped into 2nd real good and I chrped the tires but he did not. 2nd gear I got worried because I wasnt pulling the Trailblazer AT ALL. It was dead even! I couldnt even hear the thing running but it was right next to my door! So I slammed into third gear and I pulled about a half of a car on it. After that he shut it down since we were doing about 80-90mph!!
If I was stock I would have gotten beat. if I had granny shifted I would have been beat! It took all of my N/A power to even pull a half of a car on this thing. It was a fast SUV. I didnt get to talk to the driver since I dipped down a side street the second after we were done......cops ya know.
I stopped by the local Chevrolet dealer to check this thing out. There was one exactly like it on the lot. I looked at the sticker and it said that the Trailblazer SS has an LS2 6.0 engine putting out 395hp/400tq!!!! Holy Crap!
I dont even want to think about what a C6 vette would do to me while N/A....
They use the same engine ya know! Man I need more power! About 3 weeks ago I got beat on spray by a badass turbo diesel and now I can barely pull on the new Trailblazer SS...........:loser:
