Unless you went out hit the rev limiter in every gear soon as the engine was installed, this is my guess, but I wonder if the piston rings are the correct ones and were installed correctly. If not, oil could be getting sucked into the combustion chamber thus giving you white smoke. I would talk to whoever you got the engine from or who built it.
