ted is right about several things.one is dont just try to stuff a bunch of tire under your car,it wont necessarily give you traction, and could really slow you down and most definately will raise your gear ratio if you go taller.what you want to look for is the treadwear and/or traction rating.usually tires with high treadwear ratings are a hard compound tire and therefore dont offer good traction but they last longer.on the other hand lower treadwear ratings offer better traction they are made of a softer compound and dont last as long.this includes all of your drag radials and mostly all of your high end tires. treadwear ratings usually run anywhere from 400 being your harder tires to 100 and below your softer performance tires.
